At our March meeting we will be learning Kawandi quilt techniques.

Kawandi is a vibrant patchwork style from the Siddi community in India, created by women of African descent. The quilts are hand sewn, building the quilt from the outer edges inward and combine piecing, quilting and binding at the same time.
Denise Gould, one of our founder members, fell in love with this technique a few years ago, and made the quilts pictured. She will be leading the workshop.
