A visit from Dorset Patchworks

We had a wonderful visit from Devi Chapman of Dorset Patchworks this year. Devi gave us a trunk show of her quilts, hangings, and bags. We were also able to use the new projection equipment at the village hall where we meet, so Devi could show us even more of her work.

It was so interesting to see the quilts up close and be able to handle them. We were able to discuss piecing, quilting and lots of technical bits and pieces which everyone found fascinating.

Devi often makes the most beautiful pieced backs – this one (above) was a favourite.

Some of her wall hangings reminded us of modern art, and have inspired our 2025 mini quilt challenge. Watch this space!

Beautiful Boro inspired work.

You can see more of Devi’s work on her Instagram or website. And if you’re a quilt group looking for a guest speaker, Devi comes highly recommended from all of us.

Enthralled quilters!
