We are absolutely thrilled to welcome internationally renowned quilt artist and educator Luke Haynes to the South West Modern Quilt Guild.
Luke is visiting the UK for the Festival of Quilts, and we are so excited that he’ll be joining us in Exeter for an unforgettable full day workshop – Intimate Improv.
Known for his bold modern aesthetic, innovative improv techniques, and inspiring teaching style, Luke has become on of the most exciting voices in contemporary quilting. His work has been exhibited internationally and celebrated for pushing the boundaries of what quilting can be – blending storytelling, collage, abstraction, and fearless creativity. Having the opportunity to learn from Luke while he is here in the UK feels incredibly special for our quilting community.
During this workshop you’ll explore improv quilting through collage, journaling, abstract design and expressive stitching in a relaxed and supportive creative space. Whether you’re an experienced modern quilter or completely new to quilting and improv, Luke’s workshops are known for being welcoming, energising, and packed with inspiration.
